How do I get started? 
You may order
online at any time, or call us at 770-636-2004 during
business hours
and we will help you select the best hosting plan to meet
your needs, from basic domain parking to secure e-commerce
web hosting. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express,
Discover, PayPal and checks. Online hosting applications
must be made by the domain name owner, as verified by ICANN.
When your account is approved, you will receive a welcome
email containing all the information you need to get started.
If you pay by check, your account will not be activated
until 5 days after receipt of your check.
How do I point my web site to E Host Solution?
The company that registered your domain name, such as Network
Solutions, GoDaddy.com, Register.com, DirectNIC.com, etc...,
controls the name server information for your web site.
Contact your domain name registrar to request domain name
server modifications. This is usually done online by filling
out a form at your registrar's web site. Your new domain
name server information is as follows:

In short, your domain registrar controls ownership of
your domain name and points your domain name to the IP
Address assigned to our web servers. It typically takes
24-48 hours for your new name server information to update
and point your domain name to our web servers.
Why won't my web site come up?
First, make sure that you have a "live" connection
to the Internet, and
Second, see if your Domain Name has expired by going to
http://www.internic.net/whois.html
and typing your domain name. If the Expiration Date has
passed, then you need to renew your domain at the Registrar
you selected to register your name. If you have a "live"
web connection and your domain name has not expired, then
please call us immediately, or submit a ticket to the
HelpDesk.
How do I upload files to my web site?
We support most FTP software, such as WS_FTP, Fetch
and Dreamweaver's included FTP client, so you are free
to upload web files using most FTP programs. You can also
upload files using the File Manager included with your
Control Panel.
How do I access my Control Panel?
You receive a welcome email when your hosting account
is activated, that contains login information for your
Control Panel, FTP and WebMail. You have access your web
site, Control Panel, WebMail and FTP 24/7 from any computer
connected to the Internet.
How do I setup email accounts?
Login to your Control Panel and click the Mail Manager
to setup new POP3 email accounts, forwarding accounts,
default 'catch-all" accounts, spam filters and email
passwords.
How do I access WebMail?
Check your email from any computer by going to http://yourdomain.com/webmail,
then enter the email account username and password assigned
using the Mail Manager in your Control Panel.
Why can't I send email?
We recommend that you send email through your ISP's
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server settings. Some ISP's will
not allow you to send outgoing mail from other mail servers.

ISP SMTP Server settings, or visit the Support
Area for detailed email setup instructions.
Why don't my CGI/Perl scripts work?
The most common reasons are:
1) Incorrect Permissions (CHMOD) - Remote file permissions
(chmod) must be set correctly to allow Read, Write and
Execution permission of your CGI/Perl scripts.
2) Wrong Transfer Mode - CGI/Perl scripts must be uploaded
via FTP in ASCII (text) mode, NOT Binary transfer mode.
ASCII mode treats a file as text, and should be used for
all CGI/Perl scripts.

Account Setup Questions
How long until my account is setup?
We provide same-day account setup, and during business
hours new accounts are usually setup within a few hours.
Online hosting orders are subject to verification of your
domain and billing information, prior to account activation.
you will receive an email with all necessary information
to begin working on your site. This email includes your
username, password, FTP information (you can begin uploading
immediately), IP address and special welcome from our Support
Team. Everything you need to begin will be in the email
message that you receive, so please print a copy for you
records.
How will I be billed?
Hosting fees are invoiced annually (12 months) in advance.
You are not committed to a hosting plan, and you may upgrade,
downgrade or cancel your account at any time. If you upgrade
your hosting plan, you pay only the pro-rata difference
between from your old plan for the remaining annual billing
cycle. If you downgrade your plan, you can receive credit
for additional hosting services, or request a refund of
the pro-rata difference from your old plan. Annual billing
helps reduce our administrative and accounting overhead
costs, and we pass this savings on to you!
How do I cancel my account?
You may cancel your account at any time with a 30-day
written notice. Upon receipt of your written cancellation
request, we will refund 100% of the remaining pro-rata unused
months paid on your plan.

What do you charge for extra bandwidth or
disk space?
Additional monthly bandwidth or data transfer is $10/month
per 1,000 MB, with a limit of 10 GB additional data transfer
per month. Additional storage space is $10/month per 100
MB.
Domain Name Questions
Does E Host Solution provide domain name registration?
Yes, we offer domain name registration for $25.00/year.
This gives you full rights to your domain name for one (1)
year, and at the end of one (1) year you are responsible
for paying the yearly registration fee for your domain name
as long as you'd like to keep it active. Our cost for annual
domain name renewals is $25.00/year.
How does domain name registration work?
1.) If you've registered your domain name through us, and
have chosen us as your hosting company, the process is easy.
Upon completing the registration and hosting order forms,
it takes the global DNS tables 24-48 hours to update and
point to your web site.
2.) If you've registered your domain name through another
Registrar, but have wisely chosen us as your hosting company,
we'll help you to update your DNS information. However,
you are still responsible for paying the domain renewal
fees to your Registrar.
4.) If you've chosen us to host your site but have not registered
a domain name through us or any other registrar and choose
not to, your site will only be accessible by using the unique
IP Address that is sent to you via email.
How do I point my domain name to my web server?
You submit a Domain Name System (DNS) modification request
to the company that registered your domain name (such as Network
Solutions, DirectNIC, Register.com, etc.) and provide E Host
Solution's Primary and Secondary Name Server Information.

This is usually done online by filling out a form at your
domain Register's website. In short, your domain Registrar
controls ownership of your domain name and points your web
site to the name servers that you specify. It takes global
DNS 24-48 hours to propagate and update your name server
information.

Upon successful registration or modification of your domain
name, it typically takes 24-48 hours for DNS tables worldwide
to update and point to your new location.

Do I have unlimited FTP access to update my pages?
Yes, there is no limit on the amount of FTP uploading you
do or the time in which you do it, however you cannot exceed
the disk storage space amount that you order.
Will people be able to access my site with or without "www"
in front of my domain?
Yes, you will be able to access your site either way. Our
hosting servers are configured to handle your domain name
both with and without the "www".
Can I register additional domain names to point to my
web site?
Yes, you can register various domain names to point to the
exact same site, but they cannot point to a different subdirectory.
Can I setup subdomains?
Yes, subdomains can be setup on some plans.
Is a shell account included?
Yes, Secure SSH access is available on Power and E-Commerce
hosting plans.
Can I use my account for commercial purposes?
Yes, many of our clients utilize E Host Solution as the
backbone for hosting their commercial or e-commerce web
sites. Your Control Panel provides powerful tools to manage
your site, including a shopping cart. Creating a website
for commercial use is not against our policy, however we
are not liable for any transactions or customer relations
that occur as a result of your web site.
